The MeisterSinger Stratoscope wall clock is part of the Meisterstücke series and offers an unconventional, but all the more interesting display of the time with a single hand. The main feature of this model is the moon phase complication. Fans of quality watchmaking and unconventional solutions will therefore definitely find it to their liking.

The case of the MeisterSinger Stratoscope is made of stainless steel and inside it ticks a mechanical movement MS Luna with automatic winding, based on the Swiss Sellita SW220 movement. This movement is fitted with an attachment showing the moon phases. The beautifully decorated movement, operating at a frequency of 28800 semi-rhythms per hour, can be observed thanks to the transparent dial. At the 6 position we find a practical date indicator. The dial, like the whole model, has a light retro touch and of course the workmanship is excellent. Thanks to the typical minute scale, you can rely on perfect clarity even though the time is displayed with only one hand. The entire dial is dominated by a beautifully sculpted moon phase indicator at the twelve o'clock position.

The moon orbits the Earth in 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.9 seconds. Most watches with a moon phase indicator round this number to 29.5 days, which means a variation of the indicator of eight hours per year. Thus, once every three years, the moon phase indicator must be corrected by one full day. However, the moon phase indicator of the MeisterSinger Stratoscope is much more accurate. With the watch running continuously, the indicator requires only a slight adjustment after 128 years.

The colour of the dial changes from black to various shades of blue. This refers to the aurora borealis, which is visible in the far north. The moon phase indicator has a luminescent coating, as does the needle-shaped hand. The two-digit numerals that are so typical of MeisterSinger are arranged in a circle from 01 to 12 around the dial, reinforcing the impression of harmony and balance.

The glass of the MeisterSinger Stratoscope is sapphire, offering maximum protection against scratches. The water resistance of this model is 50 m ( 5 bar), so it can withstand basic contact with water, such as rain or showers. The elegance of this watch is underlined by the use of a quality leather strap.
