MeisterSinger is celebrating the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss' birth with a unique limited edition dedicated to this king of waltzes.
As composer, conductor and celebrated virtuoso, he shaped the cultural identity of the 19th century far beyond the borders of Vienna. No other name is as closely associated with the waltz as his - and few other works symbolise the Austrian musical tradition as much as On the Beautiful Blue Danube. On the occasion of his 200th birthday in 2025, MeisterSinger is presenting the waltz king with not one, but two exclusive limited edition watches.
The MeisterSinger Johann Strauß Pangaea Edition features a blue dial design with a subtle wavy surface texture reminiscent of the flow of the Danube. Above the 6 o'clock position is a silver portrait of Johann Strauss, discreetly integrated but clearly recognisable. The numerals, which are also silver, are neatly applied and add another layer to the dial.
With its 40 mm diameter stainless steel case, narrow bezel and domed sapphire crystal, the body of the Pangaea is reminiscent of a 1960s design. The model boasts a water resistance of 5 ATM (50 m). The transparent mineral glass caseback allows a unique view of the movement's operation.
Inside the model ticks a Swiss automatic Sellita SW200 movement with a power reserve of 38 hours, which is specially adapted for MeisterSinger single-hand watches.
Limited to 125 pieces worldwide.
