The MeisterSinger Bell Hora BHO918G is part of the Meisterstücke series and offers an unconventional, but all the more interesting display of the time with a single hand. Fans of quality watchmaking and unconventional solutions will therefore definitely find something to their liking.
The Bell Hora model revives the virtually forgotten "Sonnerie au passage" complication. At exactly one o'clock, the hammer strikes the spiral and produces a gentle "tinkle" that alerts the wearer to the passage of time without having to look at the dial. In keeping with the MeisterSinger philosophy, there is only one chime, regardless of the time. This does not force the watch owner to count the number of times, but only alerts him to the start of a new hour. The chiming can also be switched off by means of a button above the crown.
The case of the MeisterSinger Bell Hora BHO918G is made of stainless steel and inside it ticks a mechanical movement with an automatic winding MS Bell, the work of which can be observed through the transparent caseback. Its base is the Swiss Sellita SW200 movement. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour and has a winding reserve of 38 hours. The dial, like the entire model, has a light retro touch and of course, its excellent workmanship is a given. Thanks to the typical minute scale, you can rely on perfect clarity even though the time is displayed with only one hand. The gold-coloured numerals and indices contrast spectacularly with the blue dial with its sunburst effect.
The glass of the MeisterSinger Bell Hora BHO918G is sapphire, offering maximum protection against scratches. The water resistance of this model is 50 m ( 5 bar), so it can withstand basic contact with water, such as rain or showers. The elegance of this watch is underlined by the use of a high-quality leather strap.
