TheMaurice Lacroix PT1008-SSL40-430-4featuresa stainless steel case paired with a blue rubber strap. Inside, a reliable Swiss-made Ronda Solartech 215 solar-powered movement with five jewels operates smoothly. It draws energy from both sunlight and artificial light, ensuring continuous operation under any conditions. The power reserve keeps the watch running for up to 8 months, and the battery has a lifespan of 8 years. When fully discharged, just one minute in the light is enough to immediately restart the watch. The movement also features overcharge protection and a date display at the 3 o’clock position.
Theblack dial with a sunburst finish is protected by a sapphire crystal that is highly scratch-resistant.SuperLuminova luminescence applied tothe hands, hour markers, and the scale on the bezel ensures readability in the dark and in low-light conditions. This model is water-resistant to200 m (20 ATM), so it can handle even more extensive contact with water, such as swimming. The high water resistance is reinforced by a screw-down crown. A blue, unidirectional rotating aluminum bezel is used to measure elapsed time underwater.

The Swiss brand Maurice Lacroix is relatively young, it was founded in 1974, but today it is among the top brands. Another RED DOT went to the all-gold Masterpiece Squelette two years later.
