The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Square Wheel Retrograde MP6058-SS001-310-1 men's Swiss watch belongs to the Masterpiece collection, where the best of Maurice Lacroix watchmaking can be found. This model impresses with its exceptional off-centre seconds hand design and retrograde date display.
The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Square Wheel Retrograde MP6058-SS001-310-1 features a stainless steel case, which is complemented by a black alligator leather strap with the brand's rose gold logo. Inside the case, the mechanical movement with automatic winding ML258 works reliably, whose operation can be observed through the transparent caseback. It is based on the reliable Sellita SW200 movement, running at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour and has 37 jewels. The winding reserve is up to 36 hours. The machine is decorated with vertical Geneva stripes (Côtes de Genève).
The uniqueness of the movement lies in the in-house superstructure designed and manufactured by Maurice Lacroix. The distinctive innovation is the seconds "hand", designed with an atypical gear made of a square and a trefoil that rotate and mark the seconds with an inconspicuous hand on the square. At index five we find a retrograde date indicator in the form of a semicircle. The movement also has a "hacking" function (stopping the seconds hand when ordered) and the possibility of manual winding with the crown.
Theanthracite guilloche dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, which is maximally scratch-resistant. The guilloche dial is suitably complemented by gilt faceted hands and indexes in the form of small Roman numerals. The water resistance of this model is 100m, so it can handle even greater contact with water, such as showers, rain or swimming.

The Swiss brand Maurice Lacroix is relatively young, it was founded in 1974, but today it is among the top brands.
