The German Laco Münster Bronze watch impresses at first glance with its combination of a bronze case and the typical pilot design, which is characterized by cleanliness and great clarity, making it very popular not only among watch fans. The bronze case is characterised by the gradual oxidation of the surface, which gives it an unmistakable patina - so the watch ages with you.

The models from the Laco Pilot Original series are modern remakes of pilot and observer watches from the 1940s. They are also called B-Uhr, from the German word Beobachtungsuhren. The watches of that time were distinguished by their large 55 mm case and also served as navigational instruments. Laco was one of the five manufacturers (alongside IWC, Lange & Söhne, Stowa and Wempe) with permission to produce these military watches based on the requirements of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM) (former German Ministry of Aviation). Laco, with its Pilot Watches Original, presents models produced according to the original design and specification.

Laco Münster Bronze is based on the original pilot watches used during World War II. The straight-legged bronze case of the Laco Flieger Original Münster Bronze is complemented by a brown leather strap with stitching and distinctive rivets. The side of the case bears the designation "FL23883", which was the classification number and can also be found on the steel caseback along with the unit number, manufacturer and movement designation. On historic models, this information was placed on the inside of the caseback. The water resistance of this watch is 100 m (10 ATM). The case diameter is 42 mm, the length (lug-to-lug) is 50 mm, so the watch fits well on most men's wrists.

The classic hallmarks of the Laco Münster Bronze pilot's watch include distinctive and easy-to-read hands and indices at the hour positions, a large crown with a neck that is easy to operate even when wearing gloves. The perfectly clear A-type dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating and high scratch resistance. The iconic dial is presented without a logo, as on the original. The luminescence on the hands, numerals and indices ensures better legibility in low-light conditions. The hands of the watch are thermal blue with a touch of patina, which is created by hand.

The movement is powered by a Laco 200 mechanical self-winding movement (based on the Sellita SW200 Elaboré - tested in 3 positions, accuracy +/- 14 s/day) with a power reserve of around 38 hours. The machine with a frequency of 28800 semi-frequencies per hour offers the possibility of crown winding and the function of stopping the seconds hand when setting the time (hacking).
