The Laco Himalaya 42 DLC from the Squad series features a rugged yet compact case and clear design. The steel case of the watch with a black DLC finish is complemented by a steel bracelet finished with a fold-over clasp with micro-adjustment. The bracelet, like the case, is finished with a black DLC finish.
The watch features a unidirectional rotating diving lunette with ceramic insert with minute markers. The black dial, highlighted with white elements, stands out for its excellent clarity and legibility, which is enhanced in low-light conditions by luminescence on the hands and indices. It is protected by a convex sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating to reduce glare and ensure good readability in direct light.
With a case diameter of 42 mm and a lug-to-lug length of 50.5 mm, the watch fits well on most men's wrists. The water resistance of the model is 300 m (30 ATM), supported by a screw-down crown and a caseback. It is powered by a mechanical movement with automatic winding Laco 200 (its base is the Sellita SW200 Elaboré - tested in 3 positions, accuracy +/- 14 s/day) with a power reserve of around 38 hours. With a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, the movement offers the possibility of winding by crown, a function to stop the seconds hand when setting the time (hacking) and a date display at the 3 o'clock position, where the dark background of the date wreath is pleasing.
