At first glance, the German watch Laco Flieger Würzburg 39 impresses with its typical pilot design, which is characterized by its cleanliness and excellent clarity, making it very popular not only among watch fans.
The Laco Flieger Würzburg 39 combines classic elements of the original pilot's watches used during World War II with modern ones, ensuring not only high quality workmanship but also comfort on the wrist. The brushed steel case of the Laco Flieger Ulm 39 with curved feet is complemented by a smooth brown leather strap with stitching. The water resistance of this watch is 100 m (10 ATM), so it can handle swimming. With a case diameter of 39 mm, a lug-to-lug length of 46 mm and a height of 10 mm, the watch fits well on smaller wrists.
The classic hallmarks of the Laco Würzburg 39 pilot's watch include the distinctive and easy-to-read hands and indices at the hour positions, and the large crown, which is easy to operate even with gloves. The perfectly clear B-type dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating and high scratch resistance. The B-Uhr type B dial features a minute scale printed around the perimeter of the dial, with an arrow at position 12. The luminescence located on the hands, numerals and indices ensures better legibility in low light conditions. The watch hands are thermal blue.
The movement is powered by a mechanical movement with manual winding Laco 261 (the base of the Sellita SW261), offering a power reserve of around 38 hours. The movement used is characterised by an off-centre seconds hand in the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position. The movement, decorated with blue screws and Geneva stripes, can be observed through a transparent caseback fitted with a sapphire crystal.

The origin of the Laco brand dates back to 1925, when Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel founded a company called Lacher & Co in Pforzheim, hence the name Laco. The brand is best known for its pilot watches produced during World War II - it was one of the five brands that produced watches for German Luftwaffe pilots.
Of course, the brand does not only focus on pilot watches, in its collection we also find models inspired by the appearance of nautical watches, sports models in a diver's style, or perhaps classic watches in a minimalist design.
