The German Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 MB watch impresses at first glance with its typical pilot's design, which is characterised by its cleanliness and excellent clarity, making it very popular not only among watch fans.
The name Blaue Stunde (blue hour), as well as the blue dial with sunburst, refers to the period at dusk and dawn (roughly one hour after sunset or before sunrise), when the sky takes on its typical dark blue colour.
The steel case of the Laco Flieger Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 MB has a sandblasted finish and is complemented by a link steel bracelet. It is powered by a mechanical movement with Laco 21 automatic winding (Miyota 821A base), offering a power reserve of around 42 hours, a stop-seconds function when setting the time(hacking) and a manual winding option. Many will enjoy the possibility of observing the movement through a transparent dial fitted with a sapphire crystal. The water resistance of this watch is 50 m (5 ATM). The diameter of the case is 39 mm, the length (lug-to-lug) is 46.5 mm, so the watch fits well on both men's and women's wrists.
The classic hallmarks of the Laco Augsburg Blaue Stunde 39 MB, inspired by aviation style, include the distinctive and easy-to-read hands and indices at the hour positions, and the distinctive crown, which is easy to operate even with gloves. The perfectly clear A-type dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Luminescence on the hands, numerals and indices ensures better legibility in low light conditions.
