The Junkers Sondereditionen J1 Automatik Limitierte Sonderedition 963.02.15.M from the Sondereditionen model series is a watch with an attractive aviation design. This model commemorates the Junkers J1 - the first metal aircraft in aviation history to be designed by Junkers. Professor Hugo Junkers succeeded in constructing the optimal metal wing shape thanks to intensive research in the field of aerodynamics. This revolutionised aircraft design. The J1 was completed in 1915 and flew flawlessly on its first test flight. It was the only flight ever made by the J1, yet it made aviation history. The J1 is - in memory of the 1915 production year - strictly limited to 1915 watches.

The Junkers 963.02.15.M has a case made of stainless steel and houses a Japanese Seiko NH35 mechanical movement with 24 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies per hour and has a date display at the traditional third hour position. The watch comes with a stylish steel bracelet.

The glass of the Junkers 963.02.15.M is sapphire and is therefore extremely scratch resistant. The water resistance of this model is 100m (10 ATM), so it can handle contact with water such as swimming or snorkeling. With its 42mm case diameter, it will fit most men's wrists.
