The German Junghans Meister Chronoscope Sapphire 27/4222.02 from the Meister series bears a legacy from the first half of the 20th century, as watches designed by Anton Ziegler were produced in a similar style between the 1930s and 1960s. Today, the watch returns to the range enhanced with modern technology!
The Junghans Meister Chronoscope Sapphire 27/4222.02 is equipped with the J880.1 automatic movement, which is based on the famous Swiss variant of the ETA Valjoux 7750. The manufacturer puts it into the watch in Elaboré finish with increased shock protection (Incabloc), tuned maximum daily deviation to +/- 14 seconds, or Junghans logo on the rotor. The power reserve is up to 48 hours. In terms of watchmaking functions, the movement offers a stopwatch, a date display and a day-of-the-week display. For the stopwatch, we have a central seconds hand and sub-dials at 6 and 12 o'clock, where we find a 12-hour and 30-minute counter respectively.
The dial, which looks elegant thanks to its subtly crafted hands, is protected by a convex sapphire crystal that is extremely scratch-resistant. The double-sided anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. The water resistance is 30 metres (3 ATM) - so they can withstand minor contact with water, which can be compared to washing your hands, for example.
