The German Junghans Max Bill Mega 59/4325.02 watch from the Max Bill series is popular for its clean, timeless look inspired by the Bauhaus artistic style, while bringing a touch of modern watchmaking technology in the form of a radio-controlled movement. This model is definitely one of the most elegant radio-controlled watches in the world, and it's also newly solar-powered. The design of the watch was conceived for Junghans by Swiss architect, sculptor and designer Max Bill in the 1960s and has remained virtually unchanged ever since.

The Junghans Max Bill Mega 59/4325.02 is equipped with a solar-powered in-house J101.85 movement with 6 jewels that is radio-controlled, so you can rely on maximum precision throughout its use. The radio control of this movement is multi-frequency, which means that it picks up the signal on five radio transmitters located around the world (i.e. all except the Chinese transmitter). Even if you are out of signal range, the J101.85 achieves extremely high accuracy - specifically +/- 8s per year. Time adjustment is also possible via smartphone using the Junghans MEGA App (for Android and IOS). This movement also offers a perpetual calendar function without the need for correction up to the year 2400, even without radio signal reception. Another interesting feature of the J101.85 manufacture movement is the movement of the seconds hand, which does not jump after one second, as is common with the vast majority of quartz movements, but after half a second. In addition, the position of the seconds hand is aligned (using ITC - Intelligent Time Correction technology) 1440 times per day according to the last time information received. Also unusual is the movement of the minute hand, which moves in leaps of one minute rather than the standard smooth movement.

The case of this model is made of stainless steel and its elegance is enhanced by the leather strap. The dial gives a very elegant impression thanks to the simplicity of the Bauhaus artistic style. It is protected by a sapphire crystal that is extremely scratch-resistant. The double-sided anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. On the watch face we find an illustrated world map with the location of radio transmitters, according to which the watch is adjusted. Water resistance is 50 metres (5 ATM) - so the watch can withstand normal contact with water, such as rain or hand washing.
