Hamilton's prestigious history of service to the aviation community means that the collection represents the evolution of aviation watchmaking over time. The Khaki Pilot Pioneer range matches the design of 1970s military aviation, but relies on modern technology.
The Mechanical Chrono models are powered by the H-51-Si movement with a power reserve of up to 60 hours. Modern materials meet proven design for an impressive display. The movement has a "hacking" function (stopping the second hand when ordered). In addition to the time display, the watch has a practical stopwatch (chronograph) function, which is operated by two buttons on the right side of the case.
The watch stays on the wrist thanks to a well-crafted steel bracelet with a sliding folding clasp.
The model stands out for its excellent legibility and easy clarity, which is required for aviation watches. The blue dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal is a great advantage in watches as it is almost impossible to scratch. The anti-reflective layer guarantees great legibility even in the harsh sunlight.
The hands and indices are coated with a luminescent compound, which guarantees longer luminosity and better legibility even in low light conditions.
The case diameter of 40 mm places the model among medium-sized men's watches. The water resistance of the watch is 100 m (100 ATM), so it can handle even greater contact with water, such as swimming.
The original steel bracelet on this model is marked H6050000251.

The Hamilton brand was founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, originally to produce only pocket watches. Thanks to the accuracy of the Hamilton watch, the problem of frequent accidents in the early days of railroad transportation in the United States was solved. It was the superior quality and accuracy of the first Hamilton pocket watches, as well as the ability to innovate and act quickly while maintaining high standards, that first caught the attention of the US military as early as 1914. As an official supplier to the US armed forces during World War I, Hamilton equipped hundreds of soldiers with reliable watches. This led to a shift in production from pocket watches to more comfortable wristwatches, a change that has stuck.
Groundbreaking, practical and precise: Hamilton uses a unique combination of Swiss precision and American spirit to create distinctive, versatile watches for style-conscious lovers. Hamilton has a long history and has achieved numerous milestones, all of which have contributed to making Hamilton the strong and internationally recognized watch brand it is today.
Helveti.eu is an authorized dealer and specialist of the Hamilton brand.
