Inspired by the original 1968 model,the Intra-Matic Auto Chrono welcomes a new interpretation of the iconic Intra-Matic design. The all-black 40mm PVD case, dial and perforated strap, a modern take on a historical classic, give a contemporary twist to a historic model that harks back to the 1970s.
The men's Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auto Chrono All Black Edition H38446730 will win its owners over with its simple retro design, uncluttered appearance and precise craftsmanship.
The Hamilton H38446730 watch belonging to the American Classic model series features a date display at the 6 o'clock position as well as a practical stopwatch function. The detailed dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which is resistant to any scratches. The watch case is made of stainless steel with a black PVD finish, and the watch stays on the hand thanks to a well-crafted black leather strap with a black thorn buckle.
The watch is powered by the Swiss mechanical movement H-31, (built on ETA/Valjoux 7753 built on ETA/Valjoux 7750) with automatic winding. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, has 27 jewels and, most importantly, a power reserve of 60 hours. The machine also has a "hacking" function (stopping the second hand when ordered) and the possibility of manual crown winding.
The flywheel of this movement is made of Nivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes and has the effect of improving the accuracy of the watch.
The hands and indices are coated with Superluminova luminescent compound, which guarantees longer luminosity and better legibility even in low light conditions.
The case diameter of 40 mm makes the model a medium-sized men's watch. The water resistance of the watch is 100 m (10 ATM), so it can handle even greater contact with water, such as swimming. The water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown.
The original leather strap on this model is marked H6000002111.
