The Frederique Constant Manufacture Slimline Perpetual Calendar Automatic Designed By Peter Speake Limited Edition FC-775PS4S6 is part of the Manufacture line, which offers models with in-house movements made by Frederique Constant. Thanks to their elegant look, they are suitable as an accessory for company, but they are also perfect for everyday wear. This model represents the very pinnacle of watchmaking in the form of the regal Perpetual Calendar complication and was produced in a limited edition of just 135 pieces for the whole world. The case of the Frederique Constant FC-775PS4S6 is made of stainless steel and is completed with a textile strap. Inside the case, the Swiss mechanical in-house movement FC-775 with automatic winding works reliably. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour and has 25 jewels. Above all, it has a Perpetual Calendar function. This watchmaking complication ranks among the royal, that is, the most complicated functions in the world of watchmaking. It means that this calendar, once set, always displays the exact date, day of the week and month, taking into account the length of the months and leap years, without the need for correction until the year 2100. There is also a leap year indicator and a moon phase indicator. This beautifully decorated movement can be observed thanks to the transparent dial and also from the front thanks to the skeletonization of the dial.

The skeletonized and interestingly designed dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is maximally scratch-resistant. The anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility even in the harsh sunlight. The water resistance of this model is 30m (3 ATM), so it can handle basic water contact such as rain or hand washing.

Master watchmaker Peter Speake was born in England, studied at the prestigious Hackney Technical College in London and later at the world-famous Swiss watchmaking school WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program). He then worked for several Swiss watch brands before finally founding his own watch brand in 2002. He left this in 2017 and continues to influence the industry as a consultant and horological educator. Speake is known and respected for his unique craftsmanship and innovative designs, as well as for combining the best of the English and Swiss watchmaking schools. His signature style includes the Piccadilly case and elegant elongated hands. His signature on the Frederique Constant FC-775PS4S6 is the perfect balance between style and technical prowess. The movement is perfectly functional and the open skeletonised dial also ethereally displays its function in all its glory.

The Manufacture FC-775 movement was developed by Frederique Constant in 2016. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-rhythms per hour (4Hz), has 25 jewels and 191 components. The machine has an automatic winding with the option of manual crown winding. Its main advantage is the Perpetual Calendar function, or perpetual calendar, which ranks among the royal, most complex watchmaking complications. The perpetual calendar in this case displays the current date, day of the week, month, or leap year without the need for correction until 2100 (when there is an anomaly with leap years that requires the need for correction on March 1, 2100). In addition, a moon phase indicator is also available. The movement is easily adjusted with the buttons on the sides of the watch. At the five o'clock position there is a button to set the moon phase, and at the eight o'clock position the day of the week is set. The button at the 10 o'clock position is used to set the date and day of the week simultaneously, and finally the button at the 11 o'clock position controls the month and leap year display. The running reserve is 38 hours. This is Frederique Constant's 20th in-house movement.

Currently, Frederique Constant has an impressive 31 in-house manufacture movements (including the so-called "royal complications" in the form of a tourbillon and perpetual calendar), demonstrating the great maturity and high level of the brand.
