It is in this spirit that the manufacturer Edox has introduced a reissue of the EDOX Sportsman Chronographe Automatic. Inspired by the glorious motorsport heritage of the 1970s and the original 1972 model, this watch embodies the competitive essence and elegance of that legendary age, while celebrating EDOX's 140th anniversary.

In the world of motorsport, few names deserve as much respect and reverence as Juan Manuel Fangio. Not only did he win races, but he also defined what the term "Champion" means. In honour of this extraordinary legacy, Edox has teamed up with the prestigious Museo Fangio to create two limited edition Sportsman Chronographs as a tribute to Fangio's 115-year legacy.

Produced in two exclusive versions, each limited to just 115 pieces, these watches pay tribute to a man who became a legend and to a golden era of racing when fame was deserved and survival never guaranteed. The 1970s-inspired case, complete with tachymetric scale and distinctive vintage lines, is reminiscent of the precision watches worn by racers of yore. The dial bears Fangio's signature as a quiet but powerful tribute to his presence. The dial is available in dark blue or off-white, reflecting both the raw adrenaline and timeless elegance of Fangio's world. Inside, a mechanical chronograph ensures that the performance matches the legacy.

Each piece comes with two straps: a perforated racing-style leather strap and a refined mesh bracelet. In every curve, every gear and every heartbeat of this watch lives the spirit of a man who has conquered time at full speed. Time passes. Legends remain. The case diameter is 41mm. The watch is powered by a Sellita SW500 movement. The case is made of surgical steel.

The elegant yet clear grey dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is maximally scratch-resistant.

The hands and indices are coated with a luminescent layer that guarantees longer luminosity and better legibility even in low light conditions.

The water resistance of the watch is 300 m (30 ATM), so it can handle any contact with water. The water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown.
