Rumour has it that the original Skydiver was produced in small numbers for a Swiss colonel in 1973 who needed a durable watch for elite paratroopers. A tribute to paratroopers who can face extreme conditions in the air, on land or at sea while performing their missions. It combines the best of two worlds - the functionality of a diver's watch with the style and precision of a pilot's watch.

The EDOX Skydiver Chronograph Quartz 10116-3-GRIDN Limited Edition is a new addition to the SkyDiver model line. It is a limited edition of 1000 pieces in total for the whole world. The model wins its owners above all with its beautiful sporty look and precise workmanship and is ready for any adventure on land, in the air or underwater.

In the case, the Swiss quartz movement Ronda 5021.D ticks reliably. The movement has a "hacking" function (stopping the second hand when ordered). In addition to the time display, the watch has a practical stopwatch function (chronograph), which is controlled by two buttons on the right side of the case. The model is also equipped with a date display at the 6 o'clock position and a unidirectional rotating lunette.

The detailed grey dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal is a great advantage in watches as it is almost impossible to scratch. The steel case of the watch is followed by a well-crafted steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. The lunette with telemetry scale is also made of steel.

The hands and indices are coated with Superluminova luminescent compound, which guarantees longer luminosity and better legibility even in low light conditions.

The EDOX 10116-3-GRIDN model is characterized by a typical military watch design, so of course there is excellent legibility, luminescence. The 300m water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown and guarantees durability in any contact with water, including deep diving.

Included is a replacement brown leather strap that beautifully matches the dial colour. Instead of a traditional box, the watch comes in a leather travel case with the Edox logo.
