The Davosa Newton Automatic 161.530.45 men's watch offers a classic pilot's design that is perfect not only for pilots' wrists, but also for everyday wear.
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first attempt at flight, Davosa presents the new Newton Pilot Automatic range, which has been developed specifically for the demanding needs of aviators, combining all the essential features of classic pilot watch design with the highest standards of manufacturing quality and the use of state-of-the-art materials.
The case of the Davos 161.530.45 is made of stainless steel and is suitably complemented by a leather strap. Inside the case ticks the mechanical movement DAV 3021ND (based on the ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200) with automatic winding. Its work at a frequency of 28800 semi-frequencies per hour can be observed thanks to the transparent dial. The skeletonised rotor of the self-winding movement with Geneva stripes is particularly noteworthy. DAVOSA's watchmakers regulated the movement with particular precision to achieve a deviation corresponding to the Elaboré grade. The movement has a manual winding option and a hacking function (stopping the seconds hand when the time is set).
The dial, which stands out for its excellent legibility and workmanship, is protected by a sapphire crystal that is maximally scratch-resistant, while the anti-reflective coating ensures a good reading of the time even in sharp light. Legibility in low-light conditions is made possible by the luminescence of the SuperLuminova BGW9. This model has a water resistance of 70 m (7 ATM), so it can withstand basic contact with water such as rain or showers.
