The Davosa Argonautic Celeos 161.544.40 men's watch belongs to the Diving series and offers a very attractive diver's watch look. However, thanks to its features and the universal case size, it will serve perfectly not only for deep diving, but also for everyday wear.
The Argonautic collection was named after the faithful followers of the ancient hero Jason, the so-called "Argonauts", who together set out on an adventurous quest for the golden fleece on the legendary fast ship "Argo".For such a mission, absolute reliability, precision and durability are essential - all these qualities the Argonautic range fulfils.
The case of the Davos Argonautic Celeos 161.544.40 is made of stainless steel and houses the mechanical movement DAV 3021 (based on the Sellita SW 200) with automatic winding. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour (4Hz), with the date display at the traditional position 3.
The dark blue aventurine dial resembles the starry sky over the open sea, with tiny, sparkling inclusions reflecting light like distant stars. It is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, so you don't have to worry about any scratches. The minute and hour hands, as well as the arrow-shaped second hand, are easy to read in the dark thanks to the SuperLumiNova® BGW9 luminescence.
The water resistance of this model is 300 m (30 ATM), so it can handle almost any contact with water, including deep-sea diving. This high water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown. The diving, unidirectional rotating lunette has a high-strength stainless steel insert. The watch is held on the wrist by a sturdy steel bracelet.
