The Citizen Promaster Marine Eco-Drive JV3001-53E watch is the ideal choice for both active athletes and everyday wear. The watch stands out not only for its design but also for features such as Eco-Drive, which powers the watch using light energy (eliminating the need to replace the battery).
The Citizen JV3001-53E watch features a case and bracelet made of stainless steel. Inside the case lies the in-house Citizen U812 movement, which features a light-charged battery with a power reserve of up to 12 months (up to 3 years, or 36 months, in power-saving mode) and a low-battery indicator. The movement has both analog and digital components, offering a wide range of useful functions. The watch mode—and thus the use of specific functions—can be set using the crown at the 6 o’clock position.
The digital display consists of a MIP (Memory-in-Pixel) screen, which offers better readability compared to standard segmented LCDs and allows for the display of more information. An improvement to the alarm function is the ability to set two alarms for different times in different time zones and on different days. Also available are a countdown timer (up to 99 minutes), a stopwatch, and a second time zone indicator —world times. The display provides a digital time display (with the option to set the 12-hour or 24-hour format) and an automatic calendar showing the full date, day of the week, month, and year. The ambient light intensity display feature is also excellent.
This model also features a full-featured regatta (sailing) timer, used to count down the time until the start of a regatta. Once the countdown ends, the race timer automatically starts. On a boat, you’ll also appreciate the display of tides, changes in current direction, moon phases, and sunrise and sunset times.
This model’s clear dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which provides maximum protection against scratches.An anti-reflective coating ensures excellent readability even in direct sunlight. The watch is water-resistant to 200 m and is therefore suitable for use in water, including swimming and diving. Better readability in low-light conditions is ensured by luminescent coating on the hour markers and hands, as well as the backlight on the digital display.
