The Certina DS-X GMT C047.452.17.011.00 men's watch will be an ideal companion for sports, travel but will not be lost in everyday wear. It will impress not only with its workmanship but also with functions such as GMT and compass lunette.
The Certina C047.452.17.011.00 watch has a case made of stainless steel, which is complemented by a blue rubber strap with a thorn buckle and a quick-release system. It is powered by the Swiss ETA F06.865 battery-powered movement. In addition to the date display, it also has an EoL (End of Life) function that alerts the owner to a low battery.
The white dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which makes it easier to read the time, for example, in direct sunlight. The water resistance of this model is 200M - so it is suitable for swimming or deep-sea diving. In addition to the robust case, the screw-down crown and screw-down back cap also ensure water resistance. The hands and indices on the dial are equipped with a Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, so you don't have to worry about the dial not being easy to read in poor visibility conditions.
For travellers and adventurers, the model offers two lunettes. The first is a rotatable compass dial with world direction markings, making it suitable for orientation in the field. The second is a GMT lunette with a 24-hour scale for keeping track of time in two time zones and will thus be an indispensable tool for traveling across continents.
The model features the new "DS Concept Extreme Shock Resistance" technology. This is an advanced DS (Double Security system) technology that increases the durability, shock resistance and water resistance of the watch. Three key elements have been added to the case design: 1. an ultra-thin metal plate is placed between the dial and the movement to provide greater stability for both elements; 2. the movement is secured inside the case by a thin screw ring nut to provide increased stability, especially in the event of vibration; 3. a reinforced sapphire crystal, which is also domed to better distribute the shock wave in the event of a drop.
