The Certina DS Action Diver Powermatic 80 C032.407.11.091.00 is anew watch for 2018presented at Baseworld. This model wins its owners above all with its beautiful, sporty look and precise workmanship.
The Certina C032.407.11.091.00 watch, which belongs to the DS Action Automatic model series, features a date display, screw-down crown and screw-down face. Thedetailed dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The watch case, including the tension, is made of brushed, 316L stainless steel. Thanks to the diving lunette in anodised aluminium, this watch further emphasises its diving style. Thewater resistance of the watch is 300 m, making it suitable for deep-sea diving. The hands, indices and dots on the dial are equipped with a Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, so you don't have to worry about the dial not being easy to read in poor visibility conditions.
The watch meets the more stringent ISO 6425 standard, referred to as diver's. These watches must have a water resistance of at least 100 meters, and the watches must be pressure tested to 125% of the declared depth (i.e. a watch tight to 200 meters according to ISO 2281 is only tested to 200 meters, a diver's watch according to ISO 6425 must be pressure tested to 250 meters), and other features are monitored as well. For example, decompression, corrosion resistance, resistance to magnetic influence, impact resistance are tested. It must also contain a rotatable lunette that can be moved in one direction, have luminescence applied, and more.
TheSwiss ETA Powermatic 80.111 has 23 stone fits and a maximum run time reserve of up to 80 hours. The frequency ofthe machine is 3 Hz (21600 semi-frequencies per hour).
Like all Certina watches, it is equipped with the unique DS technology (Double Security system), which increases the durability, shock resistance and reliability of the water resistance of the watch (1. reinforced sapphire crystal, 2. seal on the crown shaft, 3. double seal on the crown, 4. special back cap seal, 5. reinforced back cap).
