The Certina DS-1 Big Date C029.426.11.051.00 men's watch impresses with its clear dial, elegant look, unique precision and precise workmanship.
The Certina C029.426.11.051.00, part of the DS-1 model series, is new for 2020. The detailed, gently arched dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The glass is coated with an anti-reflective layer on one side, which allows the time to be read smoothly even in direct sunlight. The watch case is made of stainless steel, as is the bracelet. The water resistance of the watch is 100m, making it suitable for swimming and light diving. A special feature is the large date at the six o'clock position, consisting of two windows.
The Swiss ETA Powermatic 80.651 movement, which has 25 stone settings and has a power reserve of up to 80 hours. The machine operates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 half-beats per hour). The flywheel of this movement is made of Nivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes and results in better watch accuracy.
Like all Certina watches, it is equipped with the unique DS technology (Double Security System), which increases the durability, shock resistance and water resistance reliability of the watch (1. reinforced sapphire crystal, 2. seal on the crown shaft, 3. double seal on the crown, 4. special back cap seal, 5. reinforced back cap).
