The Casio G-Shock GST-B1000BD-2AER expands theG-Steel line with a model that builds on the tradition of durable G-Shock watches while taking it in a modern, minimalist direction. Its high durability is supported by the proven Carbon Core Guard construction; other advantages include a solar-powered movement and the ability to connect the watch to a phone via Bluetooth. 

The watch stands out with its more sharply contoured case and the clean lines of the bezel, which is now logo-free to achieve a maximally modern look. Elements of the legendary DW-5000C model—one of the first G-Shocks—are reflected in the shape of the case and the details of the dial. That’s why you’ll find a brick-wall motif and color accents here. Red symbolizes the courage to face challenges, blue represents water resistance, and yellow signifies exceptional shock resistance.

The Casio G-Shock GST B1000BD-2A features a very easy-to-read analog dial that displays the date, day of the week, stopwatch, alarm, and other functions you’ll find useful for sports and everyday wear. There are only two sub-dials on the face. At the 3 o’clock position is a 24-hour time display, and at the 8 o’clock position is a sub-dial that shows the current day in basic mode, or the selected mode or values when using the stopwatch and countdown functions. The dial is protected by mineral glass.
Better readability in low-light conditions is ensured by luminescent coating on the hands; in addition, the watch is equipped with LED display illumination.
 
The case’s high durability is ensured by a combination of a metal casing and the internal Carbon Core Guard construction. The inner case is made of resin, reinforced and strengthened with carbon fibers, allowing for a slimmer case profile. This combination results in a more compact and lightweight design. The watch case is paired with a steel bracelet, both featuring a black IP coating.
With a case diameter of 44.2 mm, the Casio GST-B1000BD-2AER ranks among larger watches. Its 200-meter water resistance allows for trouble-free swimming and use during various demanding activities.

A major advantage of the watch is its solar power, which eliminates the need for regular battery replacement. The battery is recharged by natural and artificial light, and its lifespan is approximately 7–10 years. 
Another notable feature is the ability to sync the watch with a smartphone via Bluetooth and the CASIO WATCHES app. Once connected, you can easily synchronize the time, set the world time (by selecting one of more than 300 cities), set alarms and timers, or adjust the position of the hands.
Other useful features include Phone Finder —pressing a button on the watch makes your phone ring, making it easier to find.
