The Bulova SHELBY® Racer Chronograph 96K118 watch continues the legendary partnership between Bulova and the world of American muscle cars. The new limited-edition Shelby Racer Chronograph draws inspiration from the racing heritage and design of the iconic 50th Anniversary Aluminum Edition Daytona Coupe—the first and, to date, only American car to ever win the FIA World Championship (1965).
The watch’s 40.5 mm stainless steel case is complemented by a comfortable stainless steel bracelet, featuring a side-opening butterfly clasp. The bracelet’s design echoes the iconic stripes adorning the car’s body. Alternatively, a brown leather strap, included in the package, can be attached to the watch.
The watch’s most striking feature is its silver mirror-polished dial, reminiscent of the finish on the Daytona Coupé’s body. Readability is ensured by applied Arabic numerals at the hour markers, bold hands, and three clear sub-dials, which reference the design of the famous car’s gauges.
The sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position features a subtle Shelby Cobra logo, which, together with the tachymeter scale on the bezel, underscores the model’s racing character. Luminescent coating on the hands and numerals ensures better readability in low-light conditions. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating.
The watch is powered by the top-of-the-line Bulova High Precision Quartz (HPQ) NP20 battery-powered movement, operating at a high frequency of 262 kHz. This ensures very high accuracy and smooth operation of the seconds hand. The movement also features a stopwatch function. The stopwatch measures with an accuracy of up to 1/10 of a second and can time intervals of up to 60 minutes.
This model is water-resistant to 100 m, so there is no need to remove the watch while showering or swimming.
This limited edition is limited to 9,999 pieces. Each watch features an individually numbered case back bearing the Bulova and Daytona Coupe logos and comes with an additional brown leather strap. The package also includes a 1:24 scale collectible model of the Daytona Coupe, which elevates the entire set to an interesting gift and a clear choice for automotive enthusiasts.

The story of the Bulova brand begins in 1875 and has its roots in Bohemia. The founder was a Czech native Josef Bulova, who founded the J. Bulova Company in New York.
