The Bulova Military Chronograph 96B482 is a special edition created in collaboration with the Veteran Watchmaker's Initiative (VWI), an organization that supports military veterans in finding careers in the watchmaking industry. The watch’s design is inspired by military chronographs from the 1940s and emphasizes functionality and excellent readability.  

The model also pays homage to Bulova’s history as a supplier of watches to the U.S. Armed Forces. 10% of the proceeds from each sale are donated to the VWI. A special themed caseback highlights the model’s uniqueness.

A distinctive feature of the watch is its cushion-shaped case with a fluted bezel in a coin-edge finish. The watch face is finished in traditional military green, and the bold hands and hour markers ensure excellent readability. The hands and numerals are also luminescent, making them easy to read in low-light conditions.
The dial is protected by a domed mineral crystal, whose design draws inspiration from historical models.

The watch is powered by ahigh-frequency quartz (HPQ - high-precision quartz) movement operating at a frequency of262 kHz. This is roughly 8 times higher than that of standard quartz movements (32,768 Hz). This ensureshigh accuracy. Another interesting feature isthe smooth movement of the second hand, which is typical of mechanical movements. The movement is equipped with adate function at the 6 o’clock position and a chronograph function. The chronograph allows for measuring intervals of up to 60 minutes (sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position) with an accuracy of 1/20 of a second (sub-dial at the 3 o’clock position), and the controls are classic—the top stopwatch button starts and stops the timer, while the bottom button resets the measured values.

The 42.5 mm case is complemented by a smooth brown leather strap, finished with a pin buckle. The strap features a quick-release system, allowing for easy replacement without tools. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters, so there’s no need to take it off even while swimming.
