The Bulova Mil-Ships 98A324 Bronze 150th Anniversary is a special edition watch, referencing the rich history of Bulova's collaboration with the US military and based on the Bulova MIL-SHIPS-W-2181, a 1957 prototype diving watch developed for the US Navy. This special edition celebrates the 150th anniversary of Bulova, a brand that has never been afraid of innovation and is renowned for its quality craftsmanship.

The Archive Series, which aims to commemorate the iconic Bulova models that have made history with their designs and use, follows the highly successful Bulova Lunar Pilot, Devil Diver, Computron, Joseph Bulova and Accutron models with a diving watch that fully subordinates its design to function. The Bulova Mil-Ships 98A324 is reminiscent of the 1957 Bulova MIL-SHIPS-W-2181, which was created at the request of the US Army. During 1958 and 1959, several models were delivered to the Army for testing by the NEDU and UDT21 units, but production was soon discontinued as Bulova concentrated on developing the Accutron.

The Bulova Mil-Ships 98A324 Bronze adopts the equipment of the 1950s model, but comes in an improved version. The watch's sandblasted case is made of CuSn8 bronze, a material with a rose-gold hue reminiscent of 19th-century copper diving helmets. Bronze is much stronger than copper over time, creating a natural patina that is also a protective layer that increases its durability, and the unique oxidation of the surface also records the story you write along with the watch. The case has drilled lugs for easy strap replacement and is complemented by a unique caseback embossed with a diving helmet and a reference to the brand's 150th anniversary.
The green dial features hands with a vintage touch and a humidity indicator above 6 o'clock that makes it easy to tell if moisture has entered the watch, in which case it will change colour. Another unique feature of this watch is the bi-directional lunette function, which can only be rotated when pressed. The watch's bronze case is complemented by an upgraded 18mm strap, combining rubber and Cordura® nylon for maximum durability and comfort. It is powered by a self-winding Miyota 83S0 mechanical movement, with a power reserve of around 60 hours.
The dial, whose form does not deny its predecessor, is protected by a convex sapphire crystal with a 5-spot anti-reflective treatment, excelling in the excellent legibility and easy clarity required in a diver's watch. The diameter of the case is 41mm, making the watch a good fit for most men's wrists. The water resistance of the watch is 200 m.
