The Bulova Marine Star 98B451 men's sports watch is a special edition, referring to one of the most iconic collections and the sought-after Bulova Marine Star model from the 1970s. The special edition celebrates the 150th anniversary of Bulova, a brand that has never been afraid to innovate and is renowned for its quality craftsmanship.

The special edition references its 1970s predecessor by using the original retro logo of the Marine Star collection on the dial, as well as a unique caseback featuring the logo, complete with rudder and anchor.

The Bulova Marine Star 98B451 is powered by a Miyota NP20 (High Performance Quartz) high frequency quartz movement, operating at 262 kHz. This is roughly 8 times higher than conventional quartz movements (32768 Hz). As a result, it is possible to achieve high precision operation with a deviation of ± 5 s/month. The movement is equipped with a date and stopwatch function, the operation of which is displayed by clear sub-dials - a minutes and seconds counter. The stopwatch can be controlled by side buttons - the upper stopwatch starts and stops, the lower stopwatch resets the measured values - these can be read on the sub-dials at position 3 (1/20 second) and 9 (minutes). The watch can be used to measure up to hourly intervals. The date plate pleases with its black background, which does not disturb the integrity of the dial.
The steel case of the watch is complemented by a practical bracelet made of smaller pieces, finished with a folding clasp. Thanks to the smaller pieces, the bracelet fits perfectly on the wrist and is equipped with a quick-release system for easy replacement with straps.
The case is dominated by a rotating black and red lunette with minute markers. The black dial with distinctive hands and indices is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. A luminescent coating is applied to the hands and indices for better legibility in low-light conditions. The water resistance of this model is 200 m - so you can swim with the watch without any worries. The diameter of the case is 42.8 mm, ideal for most men's wrists.
