The Bulova Lunar Pilot Black Hole 98A335 Limited Edition joins the brand’s renowned chronograph family in its smallest version to date, with a case diameter of 41 mm. The all-black design was inspired by the dark depths of space and the mysteries of black holes.
The watch features a striking, unconventional dial, whose black surface is coated with a special paint called Musou Black, which absorbs up to 99.4% of light. The result is an exceptionally deep black surface that creates the perfect illusion of the infinite darkness of space, which gave the model its name.
The overall look is beautifully complemented by the gray tachymeter scale, hands, and applied hour markers in a gunmetal shade. Many will appreciate the absence of a date display.
For better readability in low-light conditions, the hands and hour markers are coated with gray Super-LumiNova (the colored luminescence does not reach the brightness of the classic version).
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, ensuring high scratch resistance.
The steel watch case with a matte black IP finish is complemented by a similarly finished three-row steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp.
The watch is powered by the state-of-the-art Bulova High Precision Quartz (HPQ) NP20 battery-powered movement, operating at a high frequency of 262 kHz. This high frequency enables exceptional accuracy while ensuring the characteristic smooth operation of the central stopwatch seconds hand. The stopwatch can measure intervals of up to 60 minutes with an accuracy of 1/20 of a second.
The model is water-resistant to 100 meters, so there’s no need to remove the watch while showering or swimming. The 41-mm case diameter fits most men’s wrists, and this size is making its debut in the Lunar Pilot collection.
The Bulova Lunar Pilot Black Hole watch features a unique case back and will be delivered in special packaging inspired by the black hole theme, along with a Bulova watch and a travel case. This limited edition is limited to 6,000 pieces worldwide.
