The Bulova Electrostatic Accutron DNA Casino 28A205 Limited Edition watch is an exceptional piece that combines cutting-edge technology, distinctive design and limited availability. It continues the tradition of the Bulova brand, which in the 1960s was the first to introduce an electronic watch with an Accutron tuning movement. The Accutron DNA Casino takes this technology even further, using an electrostatic movement that is unique in the watchmaking world.
The watch is powered by Accutron's own patented electrostatic movement, the Accutron Caliber NS30-Y8A, which uses micro-rotors powered by the movement of the hand, which take the form of turbine blades. These produce energy for the seconds hand (electrostatic drive - large turbine) and the battery, which powers the two stepper motors that ensure the running of the hour and minute hands (classic stepper motor - two small turbines). The result is smooth running of the second hand and high accuracy of ±5 seconds per month.
The machine is equipped with an energy saving function - after 5 minutes of inactivity, the second hand automatically stops at the 12 o'clock position, but the time continues to be measured. When the hand is moved again (at least 5 seconds), the hand starts again.
The design of the watch is inspired by the atmosphere and colour of Las Vegas, the famous casino city. An unmistakable element of the sporty Bulova Electrostatic Accutron DNA Casino 28A205 is its dial, which is a partial view of the unique movement. The circumference of the dial is a circle with hour and minute markings. The dial is finished in an orange-black colour. It is protected by a convex sapphire crystal. The watch case is made of stainless steel with a black PVD finish and is complemented by an orange rubber strap finished with a fold-over buckle. The diameter of the watch case is 45.1 mm. The water resistance of the model is 50 m.
Bulova Accutron DNA Casino will be appreciated by anyone looking for a technologically exceptional watch with a story. It is great for a collection, but it is also an excellent piece for everyday wear. It is for fans of innovation, modern design and watches that catch the eye at first glance.
The movements for the Accutron models are manufactured at the Miyota factory in Nagano Prefecture, Japan (Miyota is part of the Citizen Group, as is the Bulova brand). The movements are assembled under special conditions in a dust-free and temperature-controlled environment.
