The Baume & Mercier Classima 10214 offers a clean and elegant design and classic look, making it a great choice for an elegant men's watch to complement a suit. However, its set of features also makes it suitable for everyday wear.
The Baume & Mercier Classima M0A10214 has a simple silver dial with a structured centre and silver embossed indices alternating with Roman numerals at the hour positions. The whole is suitably complemented by the exquisite blue leaf hands on a light background.
The dial is protected by a high-scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Sapphire has also been used for the caseback, through which the operation of the mechanical movement can be observed.
The watch is powered by a self-winding Sellita SW200 mechanical movement with a power reserve of around 38 hours. The movement, with a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, offers a crown winding function, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking) and a date at the 3 o'clock position.
The steel case is complemented by a chocolate brown alligator strap finished with a butterfly clasp. The strap is equipped with a quick-release system, making any replacement very easy even without tools.
Thewater resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain and hand washing. The diameter of the case is 40 mm, so the watch fits perfectly on most men's wrists.
