The success of infantry operations during World War II was made possible by Airacobra aircraft that supported troops from the skies. As important as this combat aircraft was to the pilots and the mission, the Aviator Airacobra watch offers the same reliability with a vintage look inspired by this venerable war hero. Made from premium materials, the Aviator Airacobra watch combines military precision with a classic look.
Reflecting a rugged, classic look with a brushed and well-proportioned 42 millimetre diameter steel case with a bronze PVD finish, the design of the Aviator Airacobra is like something cut from history. Its oversized screw-down crown offers a good grip, which is particularly advantageous when combined with authentic 1940s pilot's gloves.
The dial, which evokes the spirit of the cockpit, is designed with a matte-grained texture that gives the watch a more instrumental feel. Its minimalist, high-contrast hands and numerals ensure excellent clarity and legibility, while the oversized calendar window at the three o'clock position enhances its unique design. Every detail has been thought out to blend authenticity with an aviation-inspired look.
The heart of the Aviator Airacobra P 42 V.1.22.8.151.5 is the Swiss ETA F06.161 battery-powered movement. Because every Aviator watch is made with a movement that meets a specific form and functionality requirement, the strikingly large calendar date display at 3 o'clock on the Airacobra sets it apart from the rest.
With a case diameter of 42 mm, the Aviator Airacobra P V.1.22.8.151.5 fits most men's wrists. Water resistance of 10 ATM indicates that this watch is a great companion not only in the air, but also during swimming in water.
