The Alpina Startimer Pilot Heritage Manufacture AL-709SR4SH5 watch is a wonderful piece for aviation watch enthusiasts. Its features and design make it suitable not only for pilots' wrists, but also for everyday wear. This model refers to the original models from the 1920s, which served military pilots at that time. This exceptional piece, produced in a limited edition of 188 pieces for the whole world, hides the new in-house movement AL-709.
The case, made of stainless steel with a gold-coloured PVD finish, houses the Swiss mechanical automatic in-house movement AL-709. It features an unusual automatic winding solution where the rotor does not rotate 360° around, but only rotates 330°back and forth thanks to a bumper system. This solution is a throwback to the spring-loaded rotors used in the past. The whole of this beautiful, unique machine can be observed thanks to the transparent dial. The transparent dial, rendered in a retro aviation style, is protected by a sapphire crystal that is maximally scratch-resistant.
The AL-709SR4SH5 model comes with a stylish leather strap and fits perfectly on any man's hand thanks to the 42 mm case diameter. The water resistance of this watch is 100m, so it can easily handle swimming, for example.
