The Alpina Heritage Tropic-Proof Handwinding AL-480B2H6 refers to the Tropic-Proof model from the 1960s. The size of the case is 34 mm, so lovers of small retro watches will find it to their liking. In fact, the case size of this model is faithful to the original models.
The Alpina AL-480B2H6 watch has a case made of stainless steel, which is complemented by a light brown leather strap. Inside the case, the Swiss mechanical movement with manual winding AL-480 (based on the Peseux movement) works reliably. The movement has 17 jewels, runs at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour and the winding power reserve is the standard 42 hours. The machine also has a "hacking" function (stopping the second hand when ordered).
The black dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating for maximum scratch resistance. The water resistance of this model is 30m, so it can handle only basic contact with water such as hand washing.
