The Alpina Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre x Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe Limited Edition AL-140BT3AE6 is a game-changing solar watch from Alpina. The Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre models offer record-breaking battery life, Swiss precision, and uncompromising durability—all powered by light.

The watch’s striking appearance is accentuated by a bezel featuring an insert made of exceptionally durable carbon fiber. The black dial contrasts beautifully with the turquoise inner ring featuring a white minute track, complemented by blue luminescent elements on the seconds hand and the distinctive triangular hour marker at the 12 o’clock position.
The AlpinaAlpiner Extreme Solarmetre AL-140N3AE6 is powered by the AL-140 caliber, developed for Alpina by the Swiss movement manufacturer La Joux-Perret. Thanks to this movement, the watch recharges whenever it is exposed to light.Just one minute of exposure to light provides enough energy for an entire day, while a full charge allows for up to 10 months of operation without recharging. With the crown pulled out, the battery life can reach up to four years.
The innovative semi-transparent blue dial discreetly conceals the solar technology while preserving Alpina’s iconic look. Applied hour markers, luminescent hands, and the signature triangular motif ensure perfect readability and a distinctive style. Subtle blue details discreetly highlight the model’s technological sophistication.
A robust 37.5mm steel case, a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, and water resistance up to 100 meters make this watch the ideal companion for both everyday wear and demanding adventures. The case is paired with a black rubber strap featuring a pin buckle.
Alpina is the official timekeeper of the legendary transatlantic race Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe (which will start on November 1, 2026, in Saint-Malo). It has partnered with the Virtual Regatta gaming platform, and together they are launching a virtual edition of this famous event, led by a new prologue titled “Warm-up by Alpina.” Registration opens on September 11, and the race itself will take place from September 23 to October 1, 2026. However, the highlight of this partnership will come on November 1, 2026, when the virtual Route du Rhum race will start simultaneously with the real regatta from Saint-Malo. This year, Alpina will be present throughout the competition as the official timekeeper, both on the actual water and in the Virtual Regatta game.
