The year 2026 is marked by the Fire Horse —a creature that has symbolized freedom, courage, and indomitable energy since time immemorial. Designer Alexander Shorokhov first introduced the horse motif to mark the brand’s 30th anniversary, and this unique model sold out immediately. Now he has once again succeeded in capturing the untamed energy of the Fire Horse and transforming it into a watch that is much more than just a timepiece. It represents a masterpiece of fine watchmaking—powerful, uncompromising, and full of life.

The watch’s centerpiece is the dial, where the horse motif does not appear as a cold, technical illustration, but rather as a spontaneous sketch by a great master on canvas. With just a few confident strokes, movement, dynamism, and unparalleled elegance come to life. The entire composition is made up of many types and shades of colored mother-of-pearl, each of which captures the light slightly differently and reveals a new facet of the entire piece with every movement of the wrist. Just as fire never takes the same form, this watch never looks the same under different angles of light.

Delicate lines deliberately divide the multicolored mother-of-pearl dial into five sectors, symbolizing the five inhabited continents of our planet and highlighting the universal significance of the horse across human cultures. While in Europe the horse has represented strength and courage for centuries, in America it symbolizes independence and boundless horizons. In Asia, it expresses energy and success, while in other cultures it is a symbol of dignity, prosperity, or spiritual strength. If you look closely at the dial, you’ll notice that the color shades of each sector correspond exactly to specific continents.

A work of art of this significance must not become a mass-produced item. The first edition of the “Fire Horse” watch is therefore being produced in a strictly limited series of just 11 pieces worldwide. However, thanks to the natural structure of live mother-of-pearl, each piece is a one-of-a-kind original. Alexander Shorokhov also came up with an ingenious way to incorporate the watch’s serial number into the design: the specific edition number is integrated directly onto the dial as a single Arabic numeral. On the first piece in the series (1/11), the hour marker is the Arabic numeral 1, while the other hours are represented by geometric indices. On the second piece (2/11), the number 2 takes on this role, and this concept continues all the way to number 11. Each owner thus receives a watch with its own unique identity.

The hour markers adhere to a harmonious color scheme and share a uniform color within each of the five sectors, which perfectly complements the iridescent sheen of the mother-of-pearl. This creates a perfectly balanced contrast between precise structure and artistic freedom.

An extraordinary surprise is hidden in the off-center seconds hand at the 9 o’clock position. Its shape is formed by two stylized horseshoes—one larger and one smaller. The designer drew inspiration from nature itself: the larger, round horseshoe represents the front hoof, while the smaller, oval one represents the rear hoof. The delicate red tip of the hand then measures elapsed time with absolute precision. Of course, the brand’s iconic hallmarks are also present: the distinctive number 60 at the 12 o’clock position, the distinctive avant-garde hands, and the artistically hand-engraved rotor.

Inside the case , made of high-grade stainless steel with a diameter of 43.5 mm and a height of 11.3 mm, beats a top-of-the-line Swiss automatic movement, the Dubois Depraz Caliber 14069, featuring 21 jewels and a power reserve of approximately 44 hours. Its hand-decorated and engraved rotor can be admired through the transparent case back. Both the dial and the view of the movement are protected by sapphire crystal, and the front crystal features an anti-reflective coating for excellent readability. The watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM, ensuring safe use during everyday contact with water.

The overall aesthetic is complemented by a 22-mm-wide black strap made of brushed suede leather, which is soft to the touch and resembles horsehide in texture. The straps have been intentionally left with a natural finish, unpolished, to emphasize the authentic character of the entire model.
