The unique ladies' Alexander Shorokhoff Fairytale AS.LA55-FTL watch belongs to the Avantgarde model series. The painter's brush floats on the dark brown mother-of-pearl and immerses the observer in the unusual, fairy-tale rendition of the Fairytale model's dial. It tells the wonderful story of the firebird. The magically glowing bird lives in a faraway land and brings blessings and misfortunes to its captor, becoming the subject of uneasy quests. The rich plumage of the firebird has many hues and glows in red, orange and yellow like embers of fire.
The case of the Fairytale AS.LA55-FTL watch is made of 14 carat rose gold. Inside it is a mechanical movement with automatic winding 2824 AS with a hand-engraved rotor. The movement is set with 25 ruby stones and has a power reserve of 49 hours. Its operation can be observed thanks to a transparent sapphire crystal dial. Everything is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
The beautifully shimmering dark brown dial supports a luminous display of miniature painting, which requires extraordinary precision and skilful hand management.
Miniature painting requires exceptionally sharp eyes and dexterous hands. The painter spends an average of 40 hours carefully observing through a magnifying glass to create a single miniature. First, the artist chooses the necessary color palette and prepares the paints. A special brush made of marten hair is used for this type of painting. It takes 10 to 20 of these brushes to complete a painting. First, the base colour is applied evenly so that the beads do not shimmer as much. Then other colours are mixed in to achieve the necessary gradation and subtle shades of colour. A number of very thin layers are applied so that the final thickness does not reach five hundredths of a millimetre. The small work of art must be put in the kiln several times to dry each layer of paint. The paint takes 30 to 60 minutes to dry at a temperature of 100 °C. The finished work is then heat-treated in the kiln for 5 hours. A fine layer of paint is then applied to the entire surface of the dial and placed in the oven to dry for 24 hours.
The water resistance of this model is set at 3 ATM, so the watch can come into contact with splashing water, for example, when washing hands or in the rain. The watch comes with a genuine crocodile leather strap. On the buckle we find the engraved AS logo.
This limited edition was produced in only 5 pieces, which underlines the uniqueness of this model.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the colour of the strap. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
