The elegant Alexander Shorokhoff Byzantium AS.LA-IST-10 watchbelongs to the Avantgarde model series. The Byzantium model is a beautiful automatic watch, created in honour of the turbulent and fascinating history of the city of Istanbul.
The case of the Byzantium AS.LA-IST-10 is made of stainless steel with a gold-plated PVD finish. Inside is a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding 2824 ETA. The rotor is hand engraved and machined. Its operation can be observed thanks to the transparent sapphire crystal dial. The movement is set with 25 ruby stones and the power reserve is 49 hours. There is a handy date indicator at the 6 position. Everything is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
The dial is divided into four sectors, surrounded by a meander - a motif from the art of ancient Greece. In the centre is a cross, which recalls the early Christian history of this modern metropolis. The hands are colour-coordinated, with high-quality diamonds set at positions 3, 6, 9 and 12.
The water resistance of this model is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can come into contact with splashing water, for example, when washing hands or taking a shower. The watch comes with a calfskin leather strap. On the buckle we find the engraved AS logo.
The watch was produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the colour of the strap. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
