A sophisticated timepiece that embodies brutal elegance and modern precision: the second limited edition Geležinis Vilkas (Iron Wolf) watch, numbering 701 pieces, is based on the legend of the founding of Vilnius and features the image of the "Iron Wolf" with metal armour and a mechanical "heart" inside.

The Iron Wolf is a mythical animal from the ancient legend of the founding of Vilnius, the capital of the old Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the current Republic of Lithuania. According to the legend, Grand Duke Gediminas (1275 - 1341) hunted in the sacred forest in the Šventagaris valley, near where the Vilnia River flows into the Neris River. Tired after a successful hunt for bison, the Grand Duke went to sleep and dreamt of a huge iron wolf standing on a hill, howling as loud and strong as a hundred wolves put together. When he awoke, the duke asked the pagan priest Lizdeik to explain the meaning of the dream.

"The iron wolf represents the castle and the city you will establish on this spot. This city will be the capital of the land of Lithuania, the seat of their rulers, and the glory of their deeds will be carried throughout the world," the priest told him. So Gediminas, obeying the will of the gods, built the city and gave it the name Vilnius, after the course of the Vilnia River.

The case of the Vostok Europe Geležinis Vilkas-Iron Wolf Limited Edition NH72-225E764 is made of stainless steel. Inside is a skeletonized Japanese NH72 mechanical movement with automatic winding and manual winding option. The movement is plated with the precious metal Ruthenium Ru44 in dark grey, which belongs to the platinum group and is mainly used in luxury products. The rotor of the movement is finely decorated with the Vostok Europe logo. The power reserve is 41 hours.

The dial is decorated with a depiction of Geminid's castle on the left side and a wolf's head on the right side. This is an interesting design element which, thanks to the Superluminova luminescent coating, stands out especially in the dark. This second limited edition is slightly larger than its predecessor. The diameter of the case here is 46 mm, making the brand appeal to those who prefer larger watches. The dominant feature of the case is the black ceramic lunette, which is unidirectionally rotatable. The watch is complemented by a steel strap with a special finish designed to resemble wolf fur, a reference to the aforementioned medieval legend.

The 20 ATM water resistance is supported by the screw-down crown, which is accentuated by a black PVD finish and found unconventionally at the 2 position. With the watch you can swim, dive or engage in various water sports.
