The watch is made in all-steel construction. The dial is protected by mineral glass. The date display is placed in the traditional third position. The water resistance of the Swiss Military by Chrono SMP36009.01 is 50m (5 atmospheres). The watch can therefore withstand minor contact with water, such as when washing hands or taking a shower. The diameter of the case is 41 mm.
