The story of the Orient Star brand began with the establishment of Tama Keiki Co. in 1950, which was renamed the Orient Watch Company a year later. The year 1951 is associated with the creation of a higher class of Orient watches, the Orient Star brand. The brand is known for its philosophy that there is no need to invest high funds in marketing, but on the contrary to reduce the available price and increase the quality. Thanks to this, the Orient Star watch reaches an imaginary quality peak in its price range.
