After the success of the limited edition Seiko Brian May watches, Seiko decided to introduce another model referring to an interesting personality who wore Seiko watches in the past. This time, the Seiko Sports line commemorates martial arts expert and movie star Bruce Lee, who wore a Seiko 5 Sports watch in the 1970s.

The Seiko 5 Sports SRPK39K1 55th Anniversary Bruce Lee Limited Edition will be available in 15,000 pieces.

The connection between Seiko and Bruce Lee dates back more than 40 years ago, when the celebrity wore a model from the Seiko 5 Sports line. The look of the watch is based on the SKX design in a special design that mirrors Lee's philosophy and interests.
The dial of the watch features a dragon that Lee drew during his lifetime. The drawing of the dragon also appears on the reverse of the leather strap. Bruce Lee was born in the hour and year of the dragon (according to the Chinese calendar) and was nicknamed Little Dragon. The special packaging, which bears the warrior's signature, also includes a yellow and black fabric strap, reminiscent of the iconic yellow tracksuit worn by Lee in the film Game of Death. The lunette bears emblems that represent the spirit of Jeet Kune Do, and Lee's quote "Using no way as a way, having no limitation as a limitation", which translates to "Using no way as a way, having no limitation as alimitation". The Jeet Kune Do logo on the dagger is a reference to Lee's martial arts philosophy, which he devised based on his experiences in unarmed combat and self-defense.

The Seiko 5 Sports SRPK39K1 55th Anniversary Bruce Lee Limited Edition is powered by a mechanical 4R36 self-winding movement with a power reserve of around 41 hours. It features a stop-seconds hand function when setting the time and a winding crown option. The movement can be observed through a transparent escapement. The dial, depicting the day and date at the 3 o'clock position, is protected by a hardened Hardlex mineral crystal. The black-finished steel case is complemented by a black leather strap, which evokes the type of clothing worn in kung fu with its colourful design with light-coloured stitching The black leather strap with silver stitching evokes the type of clothing worn in kung fu. The special pack also includes a yellow and black fabric strap, reminiscent of the iconic yellow tracksuit worn by Lee in the film Game of Death. The strength of the watch is the great clarity given by the use of distinctive, gold-framed, indices and hands. In addition, the hands and indices at the hour positions have a layer of luminescence. The water resistance of this model is 100 m, so you can swim with the watch without any problems. Thanks to the case diameter of 42.5 mm, it is classified as a medium-sized watch, suitable for most men's wrists.

The Seiko Burce Lee model retains the main features of the Seiko 5 series - mechanical movement with automatic winding, date and day display, crown position at the 4 o'clock position, water resistance, durability.

The limited edition will come in special packaging with an extra fabric strap and will be limited to 15,000 pieces. Only a fraction of this quantity will be available in the Czech Republic.
