Orient Star RE-ND0101S watch belongs to the Contemporary series. The model offers a clean and elegant design, which makes the watch a suitable accessory to a dress or suit. However, it is also a great accessory for everyday wear.
The cushion-shaped case of the Orient Star RE-ND0101S00B is made of stainless steel and inside it we find a mechanical movement of Orient 55C22 own production. This self-winding movement offers a power reserve of around 40 hours. Of course, there is a function to stop the second hand when setting the time (hacking). Many will be pleased to see the movement's flywheel at the 9 o'clock position, the so-called "open heart". The movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies/hour, can be observed thanks to the transparent caseback.
The simple, timeless, perfectly clear silver dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating. The look of the watch is inspired by the night arch. The inner part of the dial as a luminous moon gently illuminating the sky, the diamond at the 12 o'clock position as a bright shimmering star, complemented by its subtle sparkle by the faceted indices at the hour positions. The watch delights with its details, including the sculpted indices at the hour positions, the casework (the sharp lines of the lugs nicely balance the rounded lunette) and the transitions between polished and brushed surfaces, or the interestingly shaped signed crown. The watch is not lacking in overall finesse and exceptional quality of workmanship. The versatility of the watch is enhanced by the supplied steel bracelet finished with a butterfly clasp. The water resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain or, exceptionally, a shower. Thanks to its specific look and 30 mm case diameter, it is a great choice when choosing an elegant ladies' watch.
