The Orient Star Classic RE-AW0004S Heritage Gothic watch offers a clean and elegant design that makes it a suitable accessory for a shirt or jacket. However, it can also be used for everyday wear.
The Orient Star Classic RE-AW0004S Heritage Gothic is a tribute to the iconic original ORIENT STAR watch from the early 1950s. The Orient Star Classic Heritage Gothic perfectly combines the design elements of the past and timelessness. The distinctive gothic font, which appeared on the dial of the 1951 model, has undergone a subtle reworking, blending perfectly with the rounded shapes of the case. The watch boasts the superb quality and meticulous craftsmanship that is synonymous with ORIENT STAR. Its distinctive look makes it a great choice for elegant men's watches.
The watch stands out for its level of craftsmanship, unmistakable design, lines and details of the case and dial. The case of the Orient RE-AW0004S00B is made of stainless steel. Inside, we find the Orient F6G42 mechanical movement, which is equipped with an automatic winding and a power reserve of 50 hours. This movement also features a stopping of the second hand when the watch is set (called hacking) and an interesting complication is the winding reserve indicator at the 12 o'clock position. In addition, the watch offers a date indicator at 3 o'clock and an off-centre seconds hand in the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position. The movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies/hour, can be observed thanks to the transparent dial.
The pure white dial is easy to see and is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The owner will be delighted by the details in the form of blue embossed numerals, leaf hands, signed crown, or case processing. The water resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain and hand washing. The elegance of the watch is enhanced by the supplied leather strap finished with a fold-over clasp. Thanks to the 38.7 mm case diameter, the watch is a perfect match for a suit.
