Orient is expanding the range of popular Revival Collection watches with the World Map RA-AA0E08Y Limited Edition . The watch is a reinterpretation of the very popular sports-style models from the 1960s known as the Orient World Diver or Orient Dial Map. They are issued in a limited edition of 1500 pieces for the whole world.

To celebrate 75 years since its foundation, the Orient brand presents a series of limited editions in an unconventional concept.
The unifying element of all the limited edition models is the use of the Orient logo from the 1950s, written in cursive script, and a special dagger which bears the inscription "Orient Since 1950 75th Anniversary" and bears the serial number of the limited edition.

In the 1960s, there were several World Diver models on the market that bore city markings around the perimeter of the dial, which, together with the internal 24-hour rotating lunette, made it possible to determine the time of the second selected time zone.
The present reinterpretation is based on the watch known as the "Orient World Diver Dial Map", introduced in 1969. It differed from the other models in the series in that the city names were replaced by a world map. The modern edition delights with a faithful reproduction of the original dial. The case construction used, including the characteristic shape, proved very successful in the 1960s. The watch was equipped with an inner rotating lunette operated by a crown at the fourth hour position. The new version faithfully retains the elements of the original model, namely the dial with a world map, the inner rotating lunette with 24-hour markings, the crown at 4 o'clock, the cut-outs dividing the dial into world zones, and the proportions and shape of the case.

The case of the Orient World Map RA-AA0E08Y is made of stainless steel and houses the Orient F6922 mechanical movement with automatic winding. The movement has 22 jewels, a running frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies per hour and a winding power reserve of approximately 40 hours. It also has a stop-seconds hand when setting the watch (hacking) and a manual winding option.

In addition to the time display, the watch offers a date and day-of-the-week function at the 3 o'clock position and a 24-hour internal rotating bezel, which makes it possible to tell the time in a selected place in the world using a dial with a world map and marked cities. The unusual dial depicting a world map is protected by a mineral glass.
The inner rotating bezel can be operated by the crown at the 4 o'clock position. The luminescence used on the hands and inner rotating lunette ensures easier legibility in low light conditions. The water resistance of this model is 200 m, so the watch can withstand swimming.
The Orient RA-AA0E08Y39B watch comes on a full steel bracelet and is one of the larger watches thanks to its 43.5mm case diameter.

The limited edition is limited to 1500 pieces.
