Napoleon Bonaparte remains one of the most influential figures in France. He symbolises ambition, determination and the will to shape history. Now MesisterSinger has come up with a collector's edition, limited to just 50 pieces, that combines elegance, craftsmanship and historical symbolism.
The MeisterSinger Edition Napoleon ED-NAPOLEON features a 40 mm steel case with a gold PVD finish. It houses a green dial whose surface texture and sunburst effect give the watch a fascinating liveliness.
A touch of retro is added by the history-inspired hour hand, which bears a bee at the shorter end - a symbol of order and organisation. The bees that adorn the dial evoke rigour, efficiency and collective effort. Moreover, the eight bees are arranged precisely to reflect the constellation Leo - the zodiac sign under which Napoleon was born. Around the golden 'N', which naturally stands for Napoleon's initial, is a laurel wreath - a significant symbol of victory and honour. All protected by a high-quality sapphire crystal.
The back of the case is a minted gold coin: a faithful replica of the 20 franc gold coin of Napoleon I with the "laureate's head", minted bet-ween 1807 and 1814. It is made of 9 carat gold and weighs around 5 grams. Each coin was carefully handmade by an experienced jeweller.
Inside the model ticks a Sellita SW200 Swiss automatic movement with a power reserve of 38 hours, which is specially adapted for MeisterSinger single-hand watches.
