The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Moonphase Rétrograde MP6608-SS001-110 men's Swiss watch belongs to the Masterpiece collection, where we find the best of Maurice Lacroix watchmaking. This model impresses with its retrograde design of three hands.
The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Moonphase Rétrograde MP6608-SS001-110 watch has a case made of stainless steel, which is complemented by a blue calfskin strap with the brand's silver logo. Inside, the mechanical movement with automatic winding ML292 works reliably, whose operation can be observed through the transparent caseback. It is based on the reliable Sellita SW200 movement, running at a frequency of 28,000 semi-frequencies per hour and has 39 jewels. The winding reserve is up to 36 hours. The machine is decorated with vertical Geneva stripes (Côtes de Genève).
The uniqueness of the movement lies in the in-house superstructure designed and manufactured by Maurice Lacroix. A significant innovation is the retrograde design of the two hands. At the eleven o'clock position it is the date indicator, at the second o'clock position it is the day of the week indicator. At six o'clock we find an off-centre seconds hand and a moon phase indicator. The movement also has a "hacking" function (stopping the second hand when ordered) and the possibility of manual winding with the crown.
Thesilver guilloche dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating for maximum scratch resistance. The dial is suitably complemented by blue faceted hands and indexes in the form of tiny Roman numerals. The water resistance of this model is 100m, so it can handle even greater contact with water, such as showers, rain or swimming.
