• Smart notifications: On the watch you can receive emails, text messages and alerts when paired with a compatible Apple or Android smartphone. Once the phone is connected, information about incoming calls, SMS and other notifications appears on the watch display. Pair an Android phone and you can reply to text messages via the keyboard on the watch.
• Third-party applications: Thanks to the Connect IQ project, it's possible to download additional applications, special data fields, widgets and watch faces to the watch. The project was created several years ago and thus enabled computer enthusiasts and programmers to create their own applications. The vast majority of content is completely free, but you may also encounter paid applications or watch faces. However, most developers try to get a small reward via PayPal link, but whether you decide to support them in their work is up to you.

ADVANCED SLEEP TRACKING

Track your sleep score and personal advice on how much sleep you need and how to improve it. You can even track different sleep stages and daytime naps – and view important metrics like heart rate variability and skin temperature to better understand your health. The sleep consistency feature also shows how aligned you are with your circadian rhythm and how consistent your sleep is.

HEALTH STATUS

Monitor whether your health metrics – such as heart rate, HRV, skin temperature and pulse oximeter during sleep – deviate from the normal range, which could indicate increased stress. These changes may be related to physical activity levels, environment, stress, alcohol consumption, potential onset of illness and other factors (available in beta version).

WORKOUT OPTIONS

Record physical activities like walking, running and more using over 80 preinstalled GPS and indoor sports profiles. Achieve goals with Garmin Coach training plans for running, cycling, strength training and fitness. Some even adapt based on your health and fitness metrics. Or use recommended daily workouts designed specifically for you.

MY HABIT JOURNAL

Log custom or preset daily habits, such as caffeine or alcohol intake, and track their impact on your sleep, stress or HRV in the Garmin Connect app. This allows you to decide for yourself what's important for you and your health.

EVERYDAY PRACTICALITY

A bright LED torch provides practical light when you need it. After pairing the watch with your phone, you can make and receive calls directly on your wrist. You can even control watch functions with voice commands or use your phone's voice assistant to reply to text messages and more.
