The Davosa Ternos Medium California Automatic 166.199.80 is part of the Diving series and offers a very attractive diver's watch look. The case of the Davos Ternos Medium California Automatic 166.199.80 is made of stainless steel and houses the mechanical movement DAV 3021 (based on the Sellita SW 200) with automatic winding and a power reserve of 41 hours. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour (4Hz) and has a date display at the traditional position 3. This is highlighted by the use of a magnifying loupe, also called a "cyclops". The clear dial is rendered in a diver style and is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, so you don't have to worry about any scratches. Clarity in the dark is ensured by SuperLuminova luminescence.
The subtle sunburst pattern on the dial lets the colours glow in different shades as the light hits them, reminiscent of sunsets on the legendary Venice Beach. The back of the watch is engraved with palm trees, a surfboard and the sun's rays, again referring to the "Golden State" of California.
With a case diameter of 36.5 mm, the California Automatic 166.199.80 fits most women's wrists. The water resistance of this model is 200 m ( 20 ATM), so it can handle almost any contact with water, including diving. This high water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown. The watch is held on the wrist by a sturdy steel bracelet, and time periods can be measured thanks to the unidirectional rotating steel diving lunette.
