The Cuervo y Sobrinos brand could not miss the opportunity to build on the historical past of its place of origin. Secret beaches, buried treasures: Caribbean islands like Cuba, Tortuga and Santo Domingo were once the favourite hunting grounds of famous pirates. In the spirit of this freedom, courage and adventure, Cuervo y Sobrinos pays tribute to its origins and creates a watch with a distinctive identity inspired by the adventurous and romantic spirit of the privateers, hence the phrase"Pirata de el Tiempo de la Vida" engraved on the inside of the lunette.
An important feature of this masterpiece is the modular case composed of rings uniquely adapted to combine different metals to create a watch with constant evolution. In fact, the stainless steel material used in the current model is an innovation compared to its predecessors made of bronze, the material preferred at the time of the great corsairs of the 17th century.
The case of the Cuervo y Sobrinos Pirata Cronógrafo 3051.1NDD is made of a combination of shiny stainless steel and titanium with a black PVD finish. Inside is a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding CYS 3061 (based on the Valjoux 7750). It is set with 25 jewels and boasts a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement's operation can be enjoyed thanks to a transparent dial with a logo in the form of crossed swords.
The clear dial is finished in velvety black. In addition to the stopwatch function, the watch also boasts a date and day of the week display at the 3 position. Everything is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective finish.
With a case diameter of 45 mm, the Cuervo y Sobrinos Pirata Cronógrafo 3051.1NDD will especially suit fans of larger watches. It is complemented by a black alligator leather strap. The water resistance of this model is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can handle lighter contact with water, for example when washing hands.
